Michelle

My journey into the fitness industry started with teaching Group Exercise classes right as Step Aerobics popped onto the scene. Little to my surprise I discovered how good I felt, both mentally and physically, each time I taught class. Nothing like a wave of endorphins to increase my love of exercise, and the bonus was, I got to share my newfound passion with others.

 

My devotion for teaching Group Exercise class continued throughout the years and eventually led me to become a certified personal trainer. As a trainer I have an opportunity to connect with clients on an individual level and help them find a workout plan suited for them. I’ve struggled myself in the past trying to determine which programs, and/or movement patterns were right for me. I’ve learned that when I can place my body in its optimal alignment, my stability and mobility are improved which enables me to move more efficiently; therefore, reducing the risk of injury and allowing me to stay motivated to keep moving. Nothing feels better than being strong. 

 

I formed C2M Fitness to help clients find a movement program that works for their lifestyles, and their abilities. Jumping into a program without proper instruction can be intimidating and lead you to quitting and/or getting injured. I particularly want to educate women on the  benefits of strength training and to debunk the thoughts of gaining excessively large muscle mass. There is beauty in being the best version of yourself, so why not choose to move with C2M Fitness.

Reduce Risks of Injury
  • Warmup to prep body

  • Incorporate dynamic stretching 

  • Gradually increase intensity

  • Incorporate your ABC 's (alignment, breathing, control)

  • End with a cool-down and static stretches.

Strengthen Your Body

Choose 2 Move focuses on optimal form and alignment to prep the body for added load. We typically use a combination of body weight, resistance tubing, stability balls and dumbbells for strength training. 

A Clear Plan

Michelle will create a plan tailored to your current fitness level, body type, schedule, and goals. The key to seeing long term results is building a plan that is realistic and sustainable. We work to help you achieve self efficacy.
